Application Submission Requirements

Submission Steps
1. Create your user ID and password in the MTA Academy Database
2. Log in to the Momentum MSCA Programme Electronic Submission Portal using the same credentials
3. Prepare your application using the official templates:

4. Upload all required attachments, including any additional supporting documentation (e.g. proof of compliance with mobility requirements, proof of English proficiency).
5. Review your full application, then click “Finalise and Submit” in the Electronic Submission Portal to complete your submission.
Post-Submission Process

An automatic confirmation email will be sent upon submission

A formal review and eligibility check will be carried out
-
Applicants will be notified of the formal and eligibility check results by 07 February 2026
Note: Applications that do not meet the specified requirements will not be processed.
Preparation & Research Group Alignment
1. Eligibility Review
Carefully review all eligibility criteria and conditions in the official call document before beginning the application process.
2. Research Group Engagement
Explore the list of participating “Lendület”, Momentum research groups - filter for “Call 2” at the top of the page - and contact at least one potential supervisor to discuss:

Technical fit of your proposed research idea with the host group's expertise, focus and infrastructure (e.g., equipment, lab resources, data access, supervision)
-
Complementarity of your project with the group’s ongoing work and aspirations
-
Practical aspects: available resources, collaboration modalities, research environment, training and supervision arrangements
-
Planned fellowship timing and duration (exact start date, total length)
3. Research Group Match
-
Obtain a signed Host Research Entity/Implementing Partner Declaration if a suitable match is found
-
Ensure research proposals are independently written by the applicant
-
Interdisciplinary and intersectoral proposals are encouraged
-
Consider potential external expert reviewers without conflicts of interest

From Engineering & Technology, Humanities, and Medical Sciences to Natural and Social Sciences, a broad spectrum of disciplines within "Lendület" Momentum Research Groups are included in the Momentum MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme.
