Synaptic organization of the parafascicular complex in mice and humans
Short Description of the Research Project:
This research proposal explores the dynamic communication between the thalamus and cortex, crucial for higher-order cognition. Specifically, we aim to uncover how the cortex interacts with the centromedian-parafascicular complex (CM-Pf) of the thalamus, which plays a key role in cognitive processes.
By studying the structure of these connections in both mice and humans, we hope to reveal new insights into brain function and its ability to change, paving the way for advancements in understanding cognition and brain health.
