Computationally guided mechanistic toxicity assessment of chemicals of emerging concern in in vitro human and in vivo Drosophila melanogaster test models

Short Description of the Research Project:

Emerging chemicals are everywhere, but how do they harm human health, especially in mixtures? This project combines artificial intelligence, human-relevant cell models, and fruit fly biology to uncover how such contaminant mixtures disrupt the cell’s waste-clearing system (autophagy-lysosomal pathway). The findings could advance safer, next-generation chemical risk assessment and public health protection.
