Smart Chemical Tools for Optochemically Precise Engineering of Cell-Cell Interactions
Short Description of the Research Project:
Developing smart light-activated chemical tools to precisely control how living cells connect, communicate, and reorganize. This project establishes dual-key optochemical systems in which light activates bioorthogonal reactivity, or bioorthogonal chemistry unlocks light responsiveness, enabling dynamic and reversible control over cellular interactions with high spatial and temporal precision. By enabling on-demand recruitment, release, and reprogramming of cell-cell interactions in living systems, the research aims to open new possibilities for advanced bioimaging, chemical biology, and engineering complex cellular behaviours.
