Title: Triggers, Timescales, and Volatile Controls in Long-Lived Silicic Magma Reservoirs: A Comparative Study of the Ciomadul Volcanic Complex (Romania) and Mammoth Mountain (CA. USA).

Short Description of the Research Project:

Long-dormant volcanoes are often considered inactive, yet they can rapidly reawaken with little warning. This project investigates how hidden magma reservoirs evolve toward eruption by studying volatiles, crystal chemistry, and eruption timescales at Mammoth Mountain (USA) and Ciomadul (Romania).
