The University of Primorska (UP) is a Slovenian public, medium-sized, internationally active university with around 6,000 students, of whom over 22% are international. It employs around 500 researchers and teachers and hosts more than 200 foreign researchers per year. The university has 6 faculties and one research centre. UP is a member of Transform4Europe (T4EU) European university and European Network of Innovative Higher Education Institutions (ENIHEI) as well as a cofounder of Centre of Excellence for Renewable materials and healthy environments research and innovation. UP offers over 80 study programmes at all three levels, around 18 of which are also offered in English. Each year, the UP implements around 250 national and international projects. UP is strengthening its role in the region, through science communication, alumni office activities, technology and innovation transfer, student projects in cooperation with business and providing various trainings for different target groups. UP ensures the well-being of its community through student facilities, a university outpatient clinic, a centre for holistic psychological support, a career centre, healthy lifestyles for staff and students, and activities aimed at the integration of students and staff.
